Bob and Linda (Troyer) Allman, Churubusco, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The Allmans were married on April 13, 1963, in Albion by Rev. Kenneth Mitchner. Bob and Linda are the owners of All Printing & Publications, Inc., publishers of Albion New Era, Churubusco News and Northwest News. Linda is employed by Vernon. The couple has two sons, Tony, Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Dennis, LaOtto; and three grandchildren, Kirsten Allman, Andrew Allman and Korbin Allman; and one great-granddaughter, Claire Allman. The couple celebrated with a trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania recently.

George and Carol (Stahlhut) McBride, Churubusco, are celebrating 40 years of marriage. They were married at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church on April 6, 1973. George and Carol have two daughters, Karly and Michael Morgan of Huntington and Natalie and Ronald Steffen of Fort Wayne; and three grandsons. They will celebrate with an evening out with the family and later this summer are planning a trip to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Martha’s Vineyard.

Lester and Doris (Leedy) Sheets, Columbia City, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. The Sheets were married on November 23, 1947 at First Baptist Church, Columbia City, by Rev. Marlett. They are the former owners and operators of Sheets Funeral Home in Churubusco and have been Whitley County residents for 62 years. The couple has six children, Paul (Sue) Miller of Waynedale; Dr. Douglas (Kay) Sheets of Rutherfordton, NC; Terry (Maureen) Sheets of Milan; Diane (Curt) Bair of Churubusco; Deb (Scott) Davis of Columbia City; and Tim (Jennifer) Sheets of Murfreesboro, TN. They also have 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The couple celebrated with a special dinner with their children and grandchildren.

Kenton and Janne (Johnson) Buesching, Fort Wayne, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October with a family gathering. The Bueschings were married at the United Methodist Church in Churubusco on October 19, 1962. They have resided their whole married life on a farm in Allen County, where they have been involved with Buesching’s Peat Moss & Mulch Inc. Kenton farmed for many years. Janne worked at JI Case, International Harvester, Super Market Services and was also organist at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Lake Twp.) for over 30 years. They have two sons, Robert and Daniel (Ginger) Buesching, both of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Callie, Megan and Cole.
