The Carroll Varsity Baseball team recorded their sixth straight win with an 11-8 victory at Huntington North on Wednesday night. Carroll (6-3) led 11-2 heading into the seventh inning.

FORT WAYNE - Carroll junior Katy Guebard knew what she was chasing when she took the pitchers circle to start the seventh inning Friday night at Garrett.
Guebard was three outs away from her first career no-hitter, having held the Lady Railroaders hitless through six innings.
Her first pitch of the seventh is probably one she would like to have back. Garrett junior Rachel Stafford blooped a single over the infield and into short right field to break up the no-hitter. It was the lone hit surrendered by Guebard in a 9-0 Carroll win.

FORT WAYNE - Last season's success couldn't quite trump the hunch Carroll Head Tennis Coach Kyle Stoffel had entering the 2013 season.
Stoffel took a 21-match winner at three singles, senior Catherine Curtis, and flip-flopped her with a 16-match winner at two doubles, sophomore Jenna Jackson. While both are natural singles players, Stoffel viewed Curtis' game as more suitable for doubles and admits that Jackson has a nice singles game.
Through the first three matches of the season, he looks to be right on the money.

FORT WAYNE - A nightmare 18th hole kept Carroll sophomore Garrett Leeper from the top of the leader board on a cold, windy Saturday that featured some rain, sleet, snow, and by round’s end, some sun.
A strong performance from 13th ranked Bishop Dwenger kept the Charger "A" team from taking home the trophies at the 27th Annual Carroll Golf Invitational at Autumn Ridge Golf Club.
Leeper finished third with a 77 (+5) while Carroll "A" placed second, 16 strokes behind the Saints, 314-330. East Noble was third with a 336 and the Carroll "B" team was fourth with a 342.
